Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Duurzaamheid

The social role of companies is increasingly the subject of discussion in trade and industry. Whereas for many companies efficiency and cost savings gave rise to corporate sustainability, nowadays it is driven by attitude and behaviour. TKF has been aware of its social responsibility with regard to sustainability for years. That is why Corporate Social Responsibility is one of its strategic priorities. For TKF, CSR means taking the impact of its activities and operations on four domains into account:

  • People: the social side of doing business.
  • Planet: attention for the environment and climate.
  • Profit: the economic side of doing business.
  • Positioning: the company’s place in and ability to distinguish itself from its surroundings.

TTKF has an integrated approach to these four P’s and constantly tests them against the opinion of its stakeholders. Partly as a result of this, considerably more attention has been paid to the emission of CO2 during this past period. One of the results of the CO2 reduction programme is the CO2 performance ladder.

TKF makes the capacity and resources required available in order to ensure that the necessary attention is paid to CSR. Employees are educated and trained so that they can make the right contribution within their own area of responsibility. TKF is aware that its stakeholders’ expectations are determined by their own circumstances. That is why Corporate Social Responsibility is not an end for us but a continuous process!
